Progress Path

An invitation to schools and community organisations

It takes a village.
Together, we help children grow.

A child is supported by more than the people living under one roof. Parents, carers, teachers, mentors, community organisations and family support services can all play an important role in helping children develop confidence, build positive habits and feel understood.

Through The Growing Village, Progress Path aims to bring these connections closer, encouraging shared understanding, stronger relationships and practical support around family life.

Whether you are a school, a community centre, a fostering organisation or a family support service, we would love to explore how you could become part of the village.

Progress Path community ecosystem

The Growing Village

Everyone has a part in helping children grow. The Growing Village is the wider community around Progress Path, bringing together families, carers, educators, employers and community organisations to support children's development through connection, encouragement and shared understanding.

Who the village is for

Different organisations hold very different responsibilities around a child. All of them can be part of the support around a family.

Schools and educators

Building positive connections between home and education, with a shared language for encouragement and progress.

Family and parenting support

Supporting parents, carers, foster families and guardians with practical tools, conversations and encouragement.

Community organisations

Bringing together family hubs, community centres, youth groups, charities and local organisations that help children and families thrive.

What we are actually asking schools to join

Not a platform, and not a product to roll out. A way of treating effort that works better when home and school are doing it at the same time.

Recognition before reward

A child who is only ever corrected learns what not to do. A child whose effort is noticed learns who they are becoming. That holds in a classroom as surely as it does in a kitchen.

A shared language of encouragement

When children experience understanding and encouragement across the different parts of their lives, it can help them feel more supported. Progress Path aims to give families and schools a clearer way to talk about effort, everyday routines, developing confidence and the positive steps children are taking.

What this is not

Said plainly, because every school asks and every parent worries.

Not a monitoring tool

It does not report a child's behaviour to their school. The family decides what is shared, and nothing travels on its own.

Not a record on the child

Tasks are rated. The child is not. Nothing in the method produces a score of a child as a person.

Not a clinical assessment

Progress Path is a family journal and a method. It is not medical, psychological or educational advice, and it makes no clinical claim.

What we would like to build with schools

Every item below is proposed, not agreed and not scheduled. It is written down so you can hold us to it, and so nobody mistakes an intention for an offer. None of it is on sale.

A few schools first

A small number of schools working alongside families who already use the method, so what gets built is shaped by real classrooms rather than guesswork.

Assemblies about screens

Sessions for children on getting off screens and social media, and on what is worth their attention instead. Proposed, not scheduled, and we would build them with you rather than arrive with them finished.

The method, taught

The method is written to be taught. In time, staff trained to use the same language in school that a family is using at home.

One shared vocabulary

A child hearing the same words for effort and recognition in both places. That is the whole point of joining the two halves up.

App functionality

School sharing in the app

This section is about one specific feature in the Progress Path app, and nothing else on this page. It is not available to community organisations, and it is not open to schools.

Progress Path is built so a family can share a chosen summary of their child's routine with a school or support service. The family's administrator decides what is shared, sees exactly what the school will see before anything is sent, and can end it at any time. This part is being introduced by invitation and is not yet open to schools.

School sharing is being introduced gradually. A parent or family administrator chooses whether to invite a school professional, what information to share, and when to end that access. The professional cannot access the family's private pages.

Privacy, and where this actually is

The family's data is the family's

It belongs to them, not to us and not to a school. Where it is stored and processed is set out in full on our data use page. Sharing is theirs to start and theirs to end.

Where your data lives

We do not run advertising and we do not sell family data. Any change to that policy would be published on this site and families told before it took effect.

The book is the part that is finished

The Progress Path, Family Edition is out on 16 November 2026. The app is in private testing with a small group of families. There is no public release yet.

The family does the inviting

A parent chooses whether to invite a professional, what to share, and when to stop.

Whether you are a teacher, a SENCO or a parent who would like their school involved, tell us and we will come back to you as this opens further.

Registering interest commits you to nothing, and nothing is shared about any child by filling this in.
